Association Office & Amenity Updates

SunCrest has received many inquiries about operations, dues, and amenities. Below are the most Frequently Asked Questions with explanations. If you need further clarification or have a question that is unanswered, please let us know.
When will the gym be open for use?
The gym is currently under expansion and is not available for use at this time. Due to initial contractor challenges, acquiring materials, shipping delays, and re-permitting, construction is behind schedule. Without further set-backs, the weight room may be opened in the next 4-6 weeks. The opening will largely be dependent on the restrictions outlined by Salt Lake County and how many residents may utilize the space at one time.
When will the pool open for use?
The Community Center pool is currently being re-plastered and is slated for completion prior to the Memorial Day Weekend. However, as outlined by Salt Lake County, “Wave pools, lazy rivers, splash pads, hot tubs, and homeowner association pools, … are not open under the ‘Orange’ level.” Therefore, during this phase of recovery, the pool will remain closed and be re-evaluated when we move to the “Yellow Level”.
What about my HOA dues, will they be reduced since the pool and its amenities will not be accessible?
The HOA assessments are currently under review with more information to follow as the SunCrest Board of Trustees and Budget and Finance Committee evaluate the forthcoming monthly financials. At this time, a reduction in current monthly dues is difficult to determine as the pandemic continues. The SunCrest Board of Trustees and Budget and Finance Committee will be monitoring the current budget and will adopt a 2021 budget during the 4th quarter of this year. This 2021 budget will reflect any changes to the monthly assessment. Factors the Board and Committee must consider are possible/likely bankruptcies, foreclosures, increased delinquent accounts, an increase in the cost of supplies, and escalation of our facility cleaning schedule.
Are we able to reserve rooms at the Clubhouse?
At this time the rooms are not available for rent. However, rentals can be considered on a case-by-case basis determined on the activity and how many persons. For example, based on social distancing guidelines, the largest room available would hold 12 individuals. There could also be a possibility of reserving the Village Green or Basketball Courts. Again, it depends on the activity and how many people. Keep in mind that this may change at any time should the state or county change guidelines for COVID-19 safety. How can I contact the OA staff?
Beginning next Monday, May 11th, the OA staff will be in the office on a rotating shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Should you need to contact us, we ask that you do so via email (see contact info below) or call us at 801-572-1233. The Community Center, its amenities, and the pool will remain closed.
How can I make HOA payments?
You may continue making HOA payments online. You can also set up a direct debit option to have the payments withdrawn from your account each month. Contact Tracy Kelly to set that up ( email@example.com ). We have also installed a lock drop box located to the right of the main entrance to the Community Center. You may drop your payments safely and securely there. Please put your payments in an envelope and be sure to include your name, address, and account number if possible before dropping them in the box.
Are we going to have any events or activities this summer?
Your safety is important to us. While the state and county have social distancing and gathering restrictions in place, events, meetings, and activities will continue to be put on hold. Any of these events that can be will be rescheduled for a later date. We will continue to plan and post activities on our social media and website to help you have fun with your family safely.
I need to have my landscape design approved, can I still do that?
Yes, we require all landscape projects (patios, decks, sheds, fences, tree additions, etc.) to be approved by the Design Review Board. You can download an Architectural Improvement Application on our website. Please fill that out with as much info as possible and submit it to our Covenants Coordinator, Aimee Toner. Also please be sure to follow all CC&Rs as outlined in our governing documents. These are still being enforced during this time.
Management Working In-Office
Beginning on May 11th, the OA staff will begin working in-office, using a rotating shift. The Clubhouse will remain closed, however, until our re-opening plan has been determined. Please note that not all staff will be in the office at one time. Should you need to reach us, it is still recommended you contact the staff via email.
